DKW, Dampf-Kraft-Wagen, is a historic manufacturer of cars and motorbikes. The company was founded in 1916 but in 1932 it amalgamated with Audi, Horch and Wanderer into Auto Union. This was in turn taken over by Daimler-Benz and later by Volkswagen. DKW had its headquarters in Saxony, Germany.
The last DKW to be in production was the F102, a two stroke engined car.
For the real fans there are some photos of DKW's in use as ambulances on the Ambulance Photos site!
